Will You Be My Servant? (27)

Itoe:
Sakiko: What should I do…?
Itoe: <slams her hands against the table and startles Sakiko>
Sakiko: What was that for?
Itoe: <she starts drawing Sakiko with zippered lips and then shows it to her>
Sakiko: You’re the one to talk… or not talk… or…whatever!
Itoe: <Itoe points to the question mark again>
Sakiko: If you’re asking me what to do, I don’t know! Wait a minute, why should I believe you? This could be some ploy to mess up what Natsue and I have.
Itoe: Grr…
Sakiko: Grr someone your own species. That’s it. I’m done here. Now where’s the way out?

Will You Be My Servant? (26)

Megumi: And where are you heading off to?
Kimi: What are you doing in the Servant section?
Megumi: I heard that you were speaking to Rumi.
Kimi: And who did you hear that from?
Megumi: I have spies everywhere and don’t change the subject.
Kimi: I can’t say hi?
Megumi: I thought we had a deal and you seem to be breaking it.
Kimi: And what do you suppose I do, ignore her completely?
Megumi: Why not?
Kimi: Don’t you think that would look a little suspicious? People are going to notice and then they’re going to ask questions. And I think the last thing you want is people asking questions.
Megumi: You know me so well Kimiko, yet I don’t know that much about you. But I would like to. What are you doing after school?
Kimi: Let me be frank, Master Megumi. I am a Servant and as of right now, I claimed by no one. And if it so happens that I do become yours, it will strictly be a Master and Servant relationship. Nothing more, remember that.
Megumi: You know a Servant’s job is to serve her Master. Therefore, you have to do EVERYTHING I say. Remember that.

Will You Be My Servant? (25)

Itoe:
Sakiko: Can I help you?
Itoe:
Sakiko: Look, I have no idea what you are saying or trying to say or even if you’re just giving me the evil stare, but if you’re looking for Natsue, I have no idea where she is. I know shocking, but true.
Itoe:
Sakiko: My best bet, try the courtyard.
Itoe:
Sakiko: Still not moving huh?
Itoe:
Sakiko: Guess not. Well nice chatting with you, but if you’re not leaving, then I will.
Itoe: <grabs Sakiko and drags her down the hallway>
Sakiko: Someone save me! Help ME!!!!

Will You Be My Servant? (24)

Sakiko: Help me!
Rumi: No.
Sakiko: Help me!!
Rumi: No!
Sakiko: But you’re my best friend.
Rumi: So now you want to say it.
Sakiko: (smiles)
Rumi: ……Okay, I’ll help you. Hand some over.
Sakiko: Thank you, thank you, thank you! Here’s some for you too Anika.
Rumi: Wait a minute you asked for my help not Anika’s.
Sakiko: Well, she is a Servant.
Rumi: Yea, and she’s also a person so ask her.
Sakiko: Fine. Anika would you mind helping me carry my bags.
Anika: No problem. A friend of Master Rumi’s is a friend of mine.
Sakiko: Thank you, friend. See Rumi, now why can’t you act more like Anika?
Rumi: Because she’s nice and I’ve known you longer.

Will You Be My Servant? (23)

Rumi: There are so many questions I want to ask you, but only one I truly want answered.
Kimi: I can no longer hangout with you, Master Rumi.
Rumi: Is that what you want?
Kimi: It doesn’t matter what I want. It’s what needs to be done. What do you think about this dress?
Rumi: Anything would look good on you.
Kimi: You’re too good to me Master Rumi and that’s why Anika deserves you.
Rumi: And you don’t?
Kimi: No, I don’t. Because I won’t sacrifice myself for you, but Anika does. Do you know her rank?
Rumi: 37th
Kimi: She’s not even trying. Anika is my biggest rival, but she’s lowering herself to meet you.
Rumi: What, but why—?
Kimi: Do you really need to ask.
Rumi: Anika. I can’t let her do that.
Kimi: She’ll never admit to it, but I know the truth. She should be your Servant, not me.
Rumi: Is this the end?

Will You Be My Servant? (22)

Megumi: Why don’t you go inside and have a chat with Kimiko.
Rumi: You’re encouraging me to talk to her, why?
Megumi: What can I say, I changed my tune.
Rumi: Why are you here Megumi?
Megumi: I told you, I’m supervising.
Rumi: I don’t have time for your games. If you’re the True Master that you claim to be, you wouldn’t have to hide behind them.
Megumi: I’m not hiding. I’m in the middle of the field and can be seen miles away.
Rumi: So answer my question.
Megumi: You already know the answer. But if I say it, you’ll just deny it. So let’s just skip that part and go directly to the source. Or are you too scared to go inside and find out?

Will You Be My Servant? (21)

Sakiko: This zipper is so annoying.
Natsue: Do you need help?
Sakiko: No, I think I can manage.
Natsue: You’re distant. You’re never distant.
Sakiko: Well maybe I’m just tired of following you like a dog.
Natsue: I’m… so… sorry.
Sakiko: Don’t cry Natsue. I never want to see you cry.
Natsue: I’m a horrible Servant and I don’t deserve you. I don’t deserve Master Itoe either.
Sakiko: You’re one of the best—no, you are the best Servant I know. You talked to me when no other Servant did. That makes you one of a kind. That’s why I fought for you so much.
Natsue: Fought. I’ve missed you.
Sakiko: You have?
Natsue: Of course. We both have.
Sakiko: When you say we, you mean you and Itoe, right?
Natsue: She misses you too.
Sakiko: I find that hard to believe. Like I said before, I can manage the zipper by myself.
Natsue:
Sakiko: You can go, Natsue.
Natsue: Do you hate me that much?
Sakiko: I can never hate you Natsue. I just… don’t understand you. Do you want me as your Master?
Natsue: I do.
Sakiko: Then why would you kiss Itoe?

Will You Be My Servant? (20)

Natsue: Hello Master Sakiko and Master Rumi.
Megumi: Of course you two would be the last ones to show up.
Sakiko: For your information, we were the first ones here.
Rumi: Settle down you guys, the day just started.
Megumi: I’ll be on my best behavior.
Sakiko: I would love to see that.
Rumi: Sakiko! Anika has planned this whole day for us, so let’s enjoy it. What’s first?
Anika: I thought we could all go shopping.
Megumi: Where?
Sakiko: Look around you. And they say you’re the smart one.
Megumi: I don’t shop in these stores.
Kimi: Why not?
Megumi: Well if I wanted a rag I would.
Sakiko: Not surprised.
Megumi: You don’t shop in these stores either.
Sakiko: I never said I did, but at least I’m willing.

Will You Be My Servant? (19)

Sakiko: Why are you doing this to me?
Rumi: I’m trying to help you.
Sakiko: Let me save you the trouble by telling you how this day is going to end.
Rumi: And how is that?
Sakiko: Horribly.
Rumi: No it’s not. In the end, it’s all going work out. You’ll see. We’ll all get the answers that we’re looking for.
Sakiko: That’s what I’m afraid of.
Rumi: But I rather know than not at all.
Sakiko: Not me. Sometimes not knowing is the best gift anyone could give. Let me ask you question.
Rumi: Okay.
Sakiko: Have you ever thought about kissing Kimiko?

Will You Be My Servant? (18)

Kimi: What are you doing here?
Megumi: What? Rumi can visit, but I can’t?
Kimi: I’ll tell you what I told her, you shouldn’t be here.
Megumi: I waited until everyone left. Besides, I wanted to see you in those shorts.
Kimi: I hope you got a good look because I’m leaving.
Megumi: What did she want?
Kimi: Nothing important.
Megumi: It must’ve been if she came all the way over here.
Kimi: She invited us to hang out this weekend.
Megumi: Why? It’s not like we’re friends.
Kimi: But you guys could be.
Megumi: Or do you mean to say she could be friends with you. Tread lightly.

Will You Be My Servant? (17)

Rumi: I need your help.
Kimi: Master Rumi.
Rumi: Will you help me?
Kimi: Excuse us. Let’s talk in the hallway. What are you doing here? Masters aren’t allowed in Servants’ classrooms. They really shouldn’t even be in this wing.
Rumi: There are way too many rules in this school.
Kimi: You need to leave.
Rumi: But I need your help with Sakiko. I have plan worked out and everything. All I need you to do is invite Natsue for an outing this weekend. We can go together and when the time is right we’ll leave and give them time to talk.
Kimi: I can’t go.
Rumi: Oh.
Kimi: It’s not that I don’t want to. I just can’t. You should leave. I’ll go first.
Rumi: That didn’t answer my question.

Will You Be My Servant? (16)

Rumi: Sakiko… Sakiko… SAKIKO!!!
Sakiko: Huh? What?
Rumi: I finally caught up to you. Didn’t you hear me call your name?
Sakiko: Oh sorry.
Rumi: It’s okay. Is something wrong?
Sakiko: No, nothing is wrong.
Rumi: You’re lying. I can tell something is wrong. You didn’t scold me for being late. So what’s wrong?
Sakiko:
Rumi: Sakiko.
Sakiko: I saw something.
Rumi: Okay.
Sakiko: I saw something that I shouldn’t have seen and now I don’t know what to do.
Rumi: Well, what did you see?
Sakiko: Forget it.
Rumi: Sakiko, this is obviously a burden for you so let me help you by lifting some of the weight off. Tell me.
Sakiko:
Rumi: Does it have to deal with yesterday afternoon, when you were following Itoe and Natsue?
Sakiko: I saw… I saw them… KISS.

Will You Be My Servant? (15)

Sakiko: Not too close, not too close. Oh! Did they see me? Okay, my cover is still not blown. I still have no idea where they’re going. They’ve stopped. What store did they just go in? I need to get closer. A book store? How boring is that? Well since they’ll here I might as well find out what she likes. I can’t see anything through this window. I need get closer. I need to go inside, but they’ll see me if I do. But if I don’t, I won’t find out what Natsue likes. I have to go in, I have to know. Maybe if I stand behind the bookshelves they won’t notice me. This is a good spot. Now if I just lean in a little bit more. What’s that noise? My phone! Ahh!
Natsue: Hmm….
Itoe:
Natsue: It’s probably nothing. I thought I just heard Master Sakiko’s phone right now.
Itoe:
Natsue: I wouldn’t be surprised if she was here either, but she would have joined us by now. I still feel like someone is watching us ever since we left school.
Itoe:
Natsue: Yea, you’re probably right. It’s all in my head.
Itoe:
Natsue: I’m so glad you thought that because so am I.
Itoe:
Natsue: That sounds great Master Itoe! Lead the way!
Sakiko: Why are you calling me?

Will You Be My Servant? (14)

Sakiko: I need to learn silent language.
Rumi: Do you mean sign language?
Sakiko: No silent, they don’t use their hands to talk.
Rumi: Oh, you’re talking about Itoe and Natsue.
Sakiko: Who else? I need to separate those two.
Rumi: Why? They seem so happy together.
Sakiko:
Rumi: But it’s not like Natsue is unhappy with you. What I mean is why do you have to break them up? Can’t you play fair?
Sakiko: I’ve been playing fair and obviously it’s not working. It’s time to step up my game.
Rumi: What does that entail? Stalking them in the bathroom?
Sakiko: Ha ha… funny but no and I do not stalk.
Rumi: Then what do you call a person who follows two other people wherever they go?

Will You Be My Servant? (13)

Sakiko: They’re back!
Sensei: You two have a lot of explaining to do and it better be good! Come with me!
Sakiko: They are going to get it.
Anika: Did they come in together?
Sakiko: That doesn’t mean anything. Don’t feel bad about it.
Anika: The only thing I feel is determination to have Master Rumi to myself.
---
Sakiko: Finally, you came back to our room. I thought she held you captive.
Rumi: I’m pretty sure she was thinking about it.
Sakiko: What’s your punishment?
Rumi: It’s not that bad. I just have to do more chores than anyone else. I think she went easy on us because she didn’t want to call our parents and say she lost us.
Sakiko: Another sweep under the rug.
Rumi: Sakiko, about this morning—
Sakiko: I want to say something first. I’m not going to give up Natsue because I know my heart will reach her and we will be paired together as one!
Rumi: I’ll support you.
Sakiko: Huh?
Rumi: You had faith in me when I didn’t have faith in myself and now look at me. I just spent a night with Kimiko and she’s agreed to help me study and I wish the rain would never end and—
Sakiko: STOP! Back up, agreed to help you study? Tell me what happened tonight including every little detail.

Will You Be My Servant? (12)

Rumi: I’m sorry for bumping into you like that back there, but I could have sworn that I saw a ghost.
Kimi: Really?
Rumi: Yes, really! Look, I know it sounds stupid, but I saw it. I guess Sakiko was right.
Kimi: What?
Rumi: Nothing, I was just thinking about something Sakiko said.
Kimi: Master Rumi, can you keep a secret?
Rumi: Of course I can, my lips are sealed.
Kimi: The ghost is Master Megumi.
Rumi: A ghost got to her. I knew it. You act that evil all the time it will come back to haunt you—
Kimi: No, she’s not dead. It’s a tradition for the 1st ranks to scare those who enter the forest.
Rumi: So why are you here with me? You should be with Megumi.
Kimi: I didn’t want to take part in something like that. I don’t want to scare students like you just were.
Rumi: But it’s fun! Think about it. If this trip is about getting to know your pair, then wouldn’t it make sense to scare them out of their mind in this dark forest so all they have is each other to rely on? It creates a bonding experience for them and a good tale to laugh about later.
Kimi: I never thought of it that way.
Rumi: No, but it’s not too late to change your mind.
Kimi: No, it’s not. I guess I should head back to Megumi.
Rumi: I guess you should.

Will You Be My Servant? (11)

Megumi: Aw c’mon, it’ll be fun.
Kimi: Scaring people is not fun to me.
Megumi: Well someone has to do it.
Kimi: It doesn’t mean it has to be you and it’s really not necessary at all.
Megumi: It’s a tradition. Of course, it’s necessary. Every year the 1st ranks, who are us, have a duty to scare those who enter the woods. The One True Pair of 2nd year came to us and said it. Do you know how much of an honor that is?
Kimi: I’m not comfortable doing this.
Megumi: You don’t have to be because I am. All you have to do is just stand here by my side.
Kimi: I don’t think that I can even do that.
Megumi: Well you’re going to have to. If you can’t do a simple task such as this, then I wonder how well of a leader you’ll be to the Servants. Where are you going?
Kimi: I can’t stay here. I refuse to play a part in this.
Megumi: Fine. But for the future, if I say play, you will play. Do you understand me?
Kimi: Yes, Master I do and I hope you understand me when I say I am not your Servant yet and who knows, maybe I’ll never be.
Megumi: You see that’s what I like about you. Even though you’re inferior to me, you act as if you’re my equal, as if, we’re the same.
Kimi: Oh trust me I don’t believe we’re the same for a second because unlike you, I’m human.
Megumi: I know when I recognize my own kind, Kimiko. The only difference between you and me is you know how to hide it better. You are just as ambitious and just as dark as I am, maybe even more so. It’s only a matter of time before other people see it too.

Will You Be My Servant? (10)

Rumi: You seem preoccupied.
Haya: I’m sorry can you repeat that again, Master Rumi.
Rumi: Who is she?
Haya: Who?
Rumi: The Master you wish was here instead of me.
Haya: I don’t know what your—
Rumi: It’s okay. You don’t have to lie to me. I’ve noticed your gazes in the distance as if you were looking for someone. So who is she?
Haya: Master Kitoaji Kioko.
Rumi: I know her. She is very sweet and kind.
Haya: She truly is. She’s…amazing, but many Servants would like to have her as a Master as well.
Rumi: And maybe she only wants you as her Servant.
Haya: That would be—
Rumi: Amazing?
Haya: Extremely.
Rumi: Go.

Will You Be My Servant? (9)

Sakiko: Why couldn’t we have met at my house?
Rumi: Because my house is closer so it made sense to come here.
Sakiko: Yea but I keep feeling as if I left something behind. You never know what may come your way in those woods.
Rumi: Like what?
Sakiko: I heard some scary tales about that place. Like ghosts.
Rumi: Ghosts?
Sakiko: Yes ghosts. You know the ones that are spirits of others, who have moved on.
Rumi: I know what a ghost is.
Sakiko: Well obviously you have never seen one because if you did, you would not want to go into those woods.
Rumi: So you have seen one then?

Will You Be My Servant? (8)

Rumi: I feel like we never left this place.
Sakiko: Oh don’t feel so gloomy. I had a good break.
Rumi: I don’t know how you can say that when all you did was play hide and seek.
Sakiko: What?
Rumi: Itoe and Natsue would hide from you and you would seek them out.
Sakiko: grr…
Rumi: What next, are you going to stop using words too?
Sakiko: You’re in a bad mood today. What’s wrong with you?
Rumi: Sorry.
Sakiko: Oh I get it, you’re scared because today’s the day we find out our ranking. Don’t worry I bet you’ll get a good number.
Rumi: I’m not too sure anymore. I didn’t expect every student here to be so smart. I’ll be lucky to make it in the top half.
