Gotham Your Time Is Up

Hey People,

If you've been reading my weekly recaps of Gotham you shouldn't be surprised by this. I think Gotham had a lot of potential. It was definitely the most anticipated show this season and I thought it was right on the money maker in the beginning. I didn't think it was super fantastic, but it didn't disappointment me either. Now it's starting to disappoint. I see myself only looking forward to the kids and that's not enough for me to stay.

Don't get me wrong, there are some characters that I love like Harvey, Penguin, The Riddler, and Zsasz, but characters like Barbara and Gordon are getting in the way. I can ignore Barbara, she wasn't even in the last episode, but I can't ignore Gordon because he's the main character. It's hard to watch a show when the main character is annoying the shit out of you when you're watching. I thought he would let loose and not give a shit about the rules since he was sent to Arkham, but he's more strict about them more than ever now. So I'm guessing the Arkham bit was just to introduce Lee Thompkins.

Either way I'm finished with it.

S1 E10

Can there be an award for best narration on a show because this guy would win ever single time. What I think he says, which then give me giggle fits.

Alba was in the hospital unconscious for most of the episode. It was nice to hear Jane and Xo speak Spanish this time around. Rogelio was there to comfort Xo in her time of need. Xo got so desperate that she started praying, asking God to save her mother and in return Xo would stay celibate until marriage. Alba was already up by then but she liked what she was hearing so much that she pretended to be comatose. Rogelio with his Gloria Stefan comment was hysterical as always.

Rafael had to fire 15% of the staff at the hotel and one of them turned out to be Jane's friend. Jane put Rafael in a really hard spot, but in the end she realized that she couldn't fire another friend in her place and that was the end of that.

Jane was stuck in the elevator with Michael, which as the narrator pointed out was very cliched, but what wasn't was the fact Jane and Michael didn't miraculously ended up getting back together with each other or even Jane rethinking she made the wrong decision. Not even Rafael was jaded when he saw Jane crying in Michael's arms. He even made light of the situation. This show is cliched, but then it isn't.

Pun Intended (LOL) Luisa got a visit from her step-mother even though her step-mother is the one that put her there, but I guess in the end they both used each other. One for information and the other to get out of her institution. BTW, for some reason I love Luisa's roommate, but totally felt bad that she had to hear all of what was happening right next to her.

Petra's hostage escaped and since Petra isn't her real name, Rafael no longer needs to pay her for their pre-nup. I kind of feel bad for her, but as the narrator pointed out, the girl cried wolf too many times and when she actually told the truth, Rafael didn't believe her.

Is Michael going to die? Narrator distinctively said Michael loved Jane until he drew his last breathe. Either he becomes Jane's stalker for the rest of his life, actually ends up with Jane (which I highly doubt), or the man dies. Michael is a good guy. He helped out Alba #immigrationreform. He may have it out for Rafael, but other than that he's sweet. I would definitely would miss him, but this was definitely a foreshadowing here.

S1 E12

Now that's more like it. Granted, I was more interested in the mob story more, but this episode was way better than the one before it.

We continue where we left off with the escapee. Gordon guarantees the capture, but only if he gets his job back at GCPD. Turns out Marooni was a "friend" who turned on The Executioner and he wants revenge. Marooni hides out at the police station, but Gordon knows The Executioner likes a challenge so he just sits and waits for him, besides he has no other way of finding him. It was anti-climatic when all Gordon had to do was pour coffee are whatever it was onto The Executioner to stop him from electrifying him, but I will allow it since it would have been more stupid if he hadn't thought of doing that. Gordon's now working behind his desk again, but not everything is back to normal. He's now living in the barracks at the precinct, but he should really get used to being interrupted like that if he lives there. Dr. Thompkins  Lee deserves better than that.

On the other side of town Falcone finds out Fish set him up. But he doesn't care because he's in love or whatever. I really don't know what he was. Maybe infatuated, I'm not sure. Anyway, when the little bird aka Penguin told him Eliza was a setup placed by Fish, all hell broke loose. Evil Falcone was back (not like we saw him before, but you get the point) and he killed Eliza right then and there when he saw her. I knew she was a goner, but it was still sad because she did grow to care for him. I wonder if that's what Fish was trying to tell him. Does this mean Penguin is no longer undercover anymore? Marooni was onto him anyway so like it matters.

In other news, Barbara is still pointless, but I'm starting to feel bad for the actress because people are saying she's a bad actress, but it's not her fault. I blame the writers.

S1 E11

Wow that was a really bad winter premiere. I would even call it a stinker of a filler episode. I guess no one heeded my fixes for the show because I'm pretty sure it just got worse. I seriously had almost fallen asleep. And to introduce Morena Baccarin of all people in this episode was a slap in the face to her.

Anyway, Gordon is working his new job as a guard at the Arkham Asylum. Someone is electrocuting the inmates. Gordon meets Dr. Thompkins who helps take care of the inmates. Turns out an inmate was perfecting his technique and escaped with an inmate that he worked on. End of the case-of-the-week.

Meanwhile, Penguin is thrown to jail and stayed there the whole night as his lesson of the day. Maroni thought it was a good idea for Penguin to learn he is just another monkey and not the zookeeper.

Barbara is still pointless as ever as she gets dumped by Montoya because Montoya thinks they are toxic for each other. She calls her place to only hear the voice of a girl at the other end so now she thinks Gordon is cheating on her. I don't know why this woman is getting upset when she has been cheating on Gordon this whole time and also is the one that left. Granted it is her place though. But how could she not tell it was a little girl on the phone? She even sounded like a little girl. The other girl on the line was Ivy and she and Cat stayed there because Ivy was sick and Cat knew the place was empty.

Mooney is still planning her rise to the top and now we know how dedicated her soldiers are to her.

There was a few things I did like about this episode such as the villain and the twist that the woman was a patient there, but it wasn't enough to hold my interest of the show. This show needs work and hopefully they start mending soon or I'll have to leave them. BTW, who gives Edward Scissorhands gloves to inmates?

Jane the Virgin S1 Midseason Finale

S7 E11

Well that was a fun episode. Everyone was so worried that Castle wouldn't be working with the gang anymore, but I knew it could work and Castle makes one hell of a P.I. almost even Veronica Mars level.

Case-of-the-week: Not really as exciting as other cases, but it got the job done. A woman, who worked at a school was setup to believe her boyfriend from back in the day didn't die by accident. Turns out, an attorney set her up and killed her all so the prosecutor could take the blame of killing her. I know so far-fetched.

Anyway, the main focus of the show wasn't the case, but how the case was worked. Castle and Beckett were competing against each other to see who can solve the murder case first since Castle can no longer work with the gang anymore. It seems like they can't solve cases without each other, which just means to me that they are way too dependent on each other. There definitely was some sexy time during the episode, which was greatly appreciated and it seems as though the Castle the P.I. will be sticking around a little bit longer, which I don't mind.

Last episode had a great balance of humor, murder, and sex appeal. Castle at its best.

Fox Renews Empire and Gotham!

Hey People,

After 2 episodes with the latest outperforming the pilot episode (which rarely happens), Fox has decided to renew its biggest scripted series Empire, which took the spot from HTGAWM  as the #1 new show of the season.

Empire has proven that an African-American cast in a drama series can be successful. Maybe it's time for shows to stop casting based on race (unless casting family members) and start looking at talent because they might be missing a Cookie.

Gotham was also renewed alongside Empire. Gotham has yet to find its footing (mostly what to do with Barbara), but how can you say no to the potential Bat?

Hopefully the show settles in its rhythm before the season ends or the show might start dwindling in numbers and Fox might end up regretting the early renewal.

Gotham S1 Midseason Finale

Since this is the only show on Monday that is coming back from hiatus for me, I decided to talk about a recent article that I just read about the show, specifically about the character Barbara.

As you should know by now, I'm not a fan of Barbara. As a woman, I shouldn't be saying this, but she seriously needs to go to the bedroom and spread her legs because that's all she's good for. I know it's mean, but it's true. What has this character contributed to the show other than annoy us with her "I need to be let in Gordon. I want to know everything." At first when Gordon doesn't let her in she gives him an ultimatum. And when she is finally let in, she can't handle it and then ends up cheating on him.

This leads me to the article that debates if the hatred for Barbara is rooted in her bisexuality. Trust me that's not it at all. I don't care if she was heterosexual. She's still an annoying character. She could have cheated on Gordon with another man, it wouldn't have made a difference. I honestly think writers got tired of the whole love-triangle and decided to do one with a twist. If you can call bisexuality a twist. I don't know if love-triangles give heterosexuals a bad name. If they get any name at all it'll either be slut or indecisive. But when it comes to bisexuals. they just get cheater. Heteros don't, but why bisexuals? Is it because they look at both men and women. Trust me when I say, a cheater will cheat on you regardless of their sexuality. Because a player is gonna play. play, play, play, play. Barbara is a cheater no matter what and I hate her because she adds nothing to the show.

I should note I have nothing against the actress. Her acting skills are fine. I totally blame the writers for not fleshing out her character. Let's see if they can do something about it this time around.

So I thought it would be fun to discuss about the new shows I've added to my list this season. I've only added 4 shows from network television: How to Get Away with Murder, Forever, Jane the Virgin, and Gotham.

If I had to rank them judging by their pilots it would be

HTGAWM > JTV = Forever > Gotham

and now, after watching half of the season it's more like this

JTV > Forever > HTGAWM > Gotham

Gotham Midseason Finale Review

Hey People,

S1 E10

It was all about the 2 future love birds for this midseason finale. The show focusing on Bruce and Cat for once was a nice change that should happen more often. I like the cases-of-the-week in this show, but if I could have more of this, I would gladly accept.

A kill squad is after Cat for knowing the Wayne's killer because Harvey Dent leaked Gordon's name, which led to her. So Cat and Bruce were on the run together the whole time and we got to see a face we haven't seen in a long time--Ivy. That girl is so weird, but I would love to see her more. Alfred is a bad*ss and teams up with Gordon and Bullock to find Master Bruce. Meanwhile, even though Penguin knows who the mole is in Falcone's life, he hasn't disclosed who it is yet.

Gordon becomes the scapegoat out of this whole mess once Bruce is found and safe and Cat is once again MIA. He gets reassigned to Arkham Asylum where we will probably see a lot more villains. But I have a gut feeling that Gordon will be working on another project while there and that's to find out who was buying up all those Wayne stocks and following the breadcrumbs from there.

S1 E6

Poor Michael, I actually feel bad for him. Yes, he lied, but I'm glad that Jane admitted to herself that's not the only reason she was breaking up with him. If you are about to get married and you have feelings for another man, I would suggest you back away slowly from the fiance and go figure some sh*t out. But at the same time, it kind of makes Jane look like a hypocrite. I mean, she was originally mad with Michael because he omitted the truth, but isn't she doing the same thing by not admitting her having feelings for another man is the true reason of why she backed out? I calls them, as I sees them.

Jane and Xo were dealing with their mean girls problem. In the case of Xo, she had to deal with the Rogelio's ex-wife, who was setting Xo up to fail for her gig. Luckily for Xo, she didn't need a back up band to sing. However, she did realize that her personal life does affect Jane and that she should steer clear from Rogelio so he can focus on getting to know Jane. Speaking of Rogelio, he bought Jane a car not as a meaningless gesture, but because he realized he missed out on the big events in her life and he thought giving her a car was a moment he could share with her.

Jane had to deal with the mean twins, who are her former step-sisters (this show, but still not worse than Once Upon A Time). Rogelio's ex-wife not only wanted to mess with Xo, but also with Jane and sent the twins to the same high school that Jane would be student teaching in. At first they were mean, set up a website of Jane being a pregnant virgin, and even got her fired at one point, but Jane had enough of being the nice one and listened to her mother's advice--she stooped to their level. It worked, but then Jane realized another side to the twins--they felt neglected and jealous. Jane got her job back and things are looking up at her job. But I would watch out for those nuns. They have exploit written all over their faces when they saw the twins webpage and how so many followers wanted to meet Jane the virgin.

As for Rafael, he admitted to Jane he didn't see her as a sister anymore and that he actually has feelings for her. At first, I thought it was a dream sequence, but no, it was real. Jane was already admitted having problems with Michael and this was Rafael's opportunity that he had to say or else he would regret it. It paid off for him because Jane broke up with Michael and when Rafael kissed Jane, Jane kissed back with pedals falling from the tree around them. If Michael's meet with Jane was epic, then this was legendary epic. (Did anyone else wonder why sawdust was falling from the hole when Jane and Michael kissed? I was seriously thinking Xo was getting it on upstairs. Makes their meet seem a little less epic to me.)

As for Petra, well her eye still hasn't healed and Rafael was relentless to get her out of the hotel. He cut off everything in the suit: the electricity, the air conditioning, the water. This man was determined, but it wasn't until Rafael had a witness of the fact that when Petra left his office she was unscathed that she had nothing to bargain with and decided to leave. When her Czech "friend" came around asking for money, she hit him over the head with the vase of Zazo's ashes. So now what is she going to do?

S1 E9

Let's start off by discussing the case-of-the-week. Gordon and Bullock are on the hunt for a very dangerous man who can make an explosive out of peanut butter if he wanted. The man was being transported for treatment when some Russians ambush the van and take the prisoner. When the Gordon and Bullock finally do find the guy (since he actually left them a breadcrumb for them to follow), the Russians weren't far behind and escaped with the man in tow. With the help of Nygma, Gordon and Bullock know exactly where the next target will be--Falcone's vault. Turns out, Mooney was backing the Russians just so she can hurt Falcone. Money's right hand man makes sure there's no evidence linking them by killing the Russians, but as we already know that doesn't even matter. In the end, explosion man, was sent to the Arkham Asylum that is now dedicated to the insane. Again I sympathize with the baddie of the week. He only exploded places selling weapons.

Meanwhile, Penguin was fact checking his new find by stopping by her apartment and smelling everything in the room. When he finally did confront the new lady love in Falcone's life, he made sure that she knew he had her wrapped around his little finger. Too bad Mooney keeps on undermining Penguin as a player in Gotham

On the other side of town, Cat got to stay at the Wayne mansion and this time she's actually invited. Gordon thought it was a good idea to have Cat stay with Bruce so she'll be more likely to testify is she gets to know him. Plus, they're the same age. At first, Alfred was being a worrywart because he thought Cat was a bad influence on Master Bruce. But Cat shows a different take on the world like how she tells him people don't usually fight with gloves and how holding your breath won't help you. But it's when Alfred catches Bruce acting like a kid that makes him change his mind. It was nice to see how these two finally meet.

We the viewers meet the future Two-Face who is working with Gordon to solve the Wayne case. Man definitely has two faces since all of a sudden he goes bi-polar on the man he wants to sue.

During this whole episode, I was just happy I didn't have to see Barbara's face. But of course that had to be ruined by the end of the episode. This whole time she was just sleeping with Montoya. I'm too so scared of Falcone so let me go sleep with my ex to make me feel better. Seriously what is the point of this character in the show because she has added nothing so far?

Tonight's episode will be the midseason finale so last one of the year guys. The less Barbara, the better the episode.

State of Affairs Pilot Review

S7 E7

Back into the old west and back into the grove of things on Castle. The case-of-the-week was about a woman who was killed by poisoning and our team tracked down the most probable place where she got poisoned--a dude ranch in Arizona. With no help from the town's Sheriff, Castle suggests they should go undercover as a newlywed couple to solve the murder. He suggested that this could be in place of their honeymoon to which Beckett immediately says no to, but changes her mind with the go ahead from the Captain.

Turns out the victim was there searching for gold, but found her dead father instead. The killer, who was the owner of the ranch, not only killed her father, but her as well to cover his tracks. Her father, his partner, and the killer found the gold 20 years ago and when there was a disagreement with what to do with the gold someone ended up dead, and the others split the gold.

Back at home when Castle and Beckett told the news of their marriage to their friends, they were not happy about it and rightfully so. They didn't get invited. Lanie got over it quick with a deal made to Beckett to buy her all the deserts on the menu of her chose of restaurant. The Captain just blamed it on Castle for the no invite. But Ryan and Esposito were sulking the whole episode and they didn't get over it until the Captain told them they were acting like babies and that they should be happy for their friends who been through a lot these past months. With that said, they decided to give 2 vacation days each to Beckett so she can have her honeymoon with Castle since she used all of hers up searching for Castle.

This Castle episode was superior in every way to the wedding episode. A good mixture of case-of-the-week that was fun to watch unfold and great Caskett moments with a touch of great wardrobe especially for Beckett.

Previously On...Monday

Hey People,

Out with the old, in with the new. We have a newcomer tonight.

Say hello to our newcomer, State of Affairs. I seen so much advertisment for this that they really can't blame that as a reason for why it fails, if it does actually fail.

Starring Katherine Heigl, who I haven't seen on TV since Grey's Anatomy and Alfre Woodard, who is always lovely to watch.

The last thing I need is another political show, but I try to give everything a try at least once. So here's your try State of Affairs. Don't disappointment me.

I'll have a review of this later in the week.

S1 E5

So Jane moves out of the house and into fiance's. Felt really bad for her mother the whole time. Yes, she lied, but she only did it to protect Jane. Being a 16 year old girl is not easy. Being a 16 year old pregnant girl is a 1000x harder. Jane tries to get to know her father, but something they have in common is they both expect perfection, but perfection only exists in fantasy. Eventually, they'll get the hang of being a father and daughter. But for now at least Jane can replace the Smits picture with the one of her father and her as a baby. I couldn't stop laughing at that.

Baby-daddy told the truth about his marriage to Jane and how he plans to divorce Petra. Jane, like always, had a picture in her head of a perfect family for her baby, which we all know isn't true at all. After the talk with Jane's father, she realizes nothing is perfect and she wanted to be a part of this baby's life. So now it'll Jane, baby-daddy, and fiance. Maybe not the fiance since Jane found out fiance knew the whole time about Petra having the affair and he didn't tell her. To be honest, I was kind of on fiance's side. What is with women not understanding just because he's your boo doesn't mean he has to tell you everything that relates to his job (see Gotham). Keep your personal life separate from her business life especially when you're a cop. However, he didn't have to lie after she found out. The only good thing is it led Jane to go back to her mother for comfort.

Petra has sank to a new low. She's now claiming abuse. But damn, that was a straight up punch. Meanwhile, no-face-man killed another person. Does anyone else want another subtitles for feelings not said. I want that in all my shows now.

Almost forgot, fiance's brother is asking for $2000 and is dating Jane's best friend. I just can't picture the fiance stealing cars.

S1 E8

Last week had a really fun episode that I enjoyed very much. The case-of-the-week was a mix of Saw and The Office all rolled into one. Gordon and Bullock knew right away who the killer was which is a change up to what we usually have (trying to find out who the killer is). The only problem is they couldn't prove it. But once Gordon found their fighting spot it was all over for the killer. I actually love how Bullock stood up for Gordon and got the police force to actually help out and do their damn jobs for once, but by the time they get there, everything was under control. Actually, I can even argue that Gordon didn't need their help at all. I know the whole point of this episode for them was to prove you can't do it alone, but I think they proved the opposite for me. Gordon will clean the streets and put anyone who breaks the law behind bars, even if they do help the police from time to time. And now we know he can do it alone.

Bruce goes to school and has to deal with bullying and he flips out over a your mama joke. You got to love Alfred's parenting skills though. He actually drives Bruce to the bully's house so Bruce could hit him, just so the boy knows Bruce could kill him. Messaged received? Oh, and now Alfred is going to teach Bruce how to fight. I'm guessing not that well since someone else trains him when he's older. I hope this wasn't the moral of the story. Meanwhile, Cat gets caught breaking and entering and guess who she calls for help?

Over on the bad side of town, Mooney and Penguin meet to set up terms. Mooney tells Penguin that he better pray Falcone stays alive for his sake. I bet he does because we all know who Penguin really works for. It goes in this order Maroni < Falcone < Penguin. Penguin finds out that Mooney has someone close to Falcone and Mooney finds out another piece to her puzzle that we still don't know the details to yet. However, it does seem like her secret weapon is becoming soft, but that lie kind of helped. It wasn't all a lie. I'm guessing the part about her mother entertaining was correct, but her mother is still alive and singing apparently.

Back at home, Barbara leaves because Gordon hung up before she could say "I love you". This girl is ridiculous. First she wanted to know everything, and now that she knows, she's so scared, she's pointing guns at anyone who doesn't turn on the lights as soon as they enter. I hope she never returns, until she's ovulating and h*rny and just wants to have a baby. What can I say? I really, really, really want my Batgirl.

More Nygma, more Nygma!

S7 E6

Let's talk about this episode that to me was supposed to be the episode that would go down as one of the best episodes to date. It definitely wouldn't be in my top 10 and I'm not even sure it would make it in my top 50. Here are my problems in no particular order.

• The case-of-the-week was probably the weakest part of the episode. I'm not talking about how Castle went into alternate universe (I liked that), I am talking about the fact that it circled around an artifact gone missing and then they solved it once they went to coal factory. Yes, some cases are solved quickly in real life, but this is a TV show and I expect there to be some excitement. This has to be one of the worst cases on Castle and is definitely the worst case so far this season (not including the story-arc, but I have to say it may be worse). I know that it would have been a cliche, but I rather have seen Castle hit his head and was dreaming the whole time than this. The case-of-the-week just needed to be more interesting like the invisible coat. Some people thought the case-of-the-week was too long and didn't give enough time to the wedding. I actually didn't mind it. I meant how much time are they supposed to give to a wedding that was spontaneous? The episode was 10 minutes longer than usual (52 mins), so the case was pretty long since the actual wedding only took about 5 mins, but I don't think people would have cared as much if it was an interesting case, which it wasn't.
• That green screen. Anytime I focused on them my eyes would just move on their own to the background. It was just so bright, oh so distracting and fake. The only good thing is I could hear what they were saying (I loved their vows), but I couldn't focus on their faces if my life depended on it. Speaking of focusing, when Kate walked down the aisle or whatever that was, I was shocked she was in pants, but I thought she looked good. At least from the front she did, the back was another story. That bow on her butt had to go. It was the only thing that was bugging me about her wedding suit.
• I get they only invited family, but it just felt so wrong not to have Lanie, Esposito, and Ryan there. The viewers consider them family and it felt like a betrayal. A commenter even suggested the writers can write L, E & R giving the cold shoulder to Mr. & Mrs. Castle for weeks to come as punishment. All I have to say about it is work family is family too, especially if they are your closest friends.

I want to end on a good note so let me say what I loved, the vows, the alternate universe (what was different from reality), and (even though I didn't care for it) the wedding. Was I the only one who thought Alexis should keep her dark hair? It made her eyes pop and darn it, she looked hot.

Hopefully, the honeymoon tonight will be 1000x better. It can only get better.

Note: The Blacklist's fall finale is tonight (so early). The next episode won't be until February 1st (Super Bowl). I might do fall finale reviews, so be on the lookout for those if I do.

S1 E4

I'm still loving this show more and more each week.

So Jane is still having sexual fantasies about her baby-daddy and because she can't lie in front of a priest, she tells her fiance about these subconscious feelings. Of course, her fiance gets mad at that but he has other things to worry about like the fact that Petra, baby-daddy's wife, is blackmailing him about the evidence that he stole for her.

Petra can't tell the fiance where she was the night of the murder and that's because she has a secret that no one knows about (her real name is Natalia, she speaks Czech, and for some reason a man demands more money from her).

Jane's mom was also dealing with baby-daddy issues by trying to keep Jane's father a secret. But everything came out in the opening and now Jane feels lied to by her mother because she knew who her father was this whole time.

Baby-daddy was having some trouble of his own. He had to write a piece to the media, which he asked Jane to take care of so that one got crossed off his list and he also needed to get rid of a thorn at his side--Lachlan, his nemesis. It turns out Petra and Lachlan were once engaged to each other, but baby-daddy stole Petra from him. I'm guessing because Lachlan took his seat as his father's right hand man. But I think baby-daddy was in the wrong. He thought just because it was his father that he should automatically get the job. Lachlan got it because he worked for it. He did all the work. I don't know how baby-daddy can be mad at him for that and then steal his girl for revenge. He does admit he was an *ss back then. Anyway, Petra and baby-daddy trick Lachlan and baby-daddy comes out looking like the hero, who will get the hotel back on track.

Back to Jane's fiance. By using his detective skills, he figures out that a bell-hop could be involved with the murdering of Zaz, which helped the police move away from Petra as a suspect. Fiance also told Jane that he doesn't care if he has to raise someone else's kid as long as he doesn't lose Jane. Jane admits that she doesn't want to keep the baby either and she finally gives him the letter. (The letter took a detour because Jane switched the sexy letter she wrote for her finace with the newsletter she wrote for her baby-daddy. The good thing about the switch was that the baby-daddy admitted to only seeing Jane as a sister--end of fantasies for her.)

Baby-daddy also revealed to Petra that he knows about the affair with Zaz and that they're over. What will Petra do about the guy asking her for more money? Also, I guess because of the sexy letter, the baby-daddy is starting to have fantasies of Jane. How sexy was that letter? I want to read it.

Side note: No one knows where baby-daddy's sister is. Their step-mother is very worried about her daughter-in-law/lover. If she doesn't show up to court, Jane wins the lawsuit against her by default and baby-daddy loses the hotel along with it.

S1 E7

The best episode so far happened last week and I couldn't wait to watch it because I heard it was so good. Penguin, Penguin, oh how I love you Penguin.

Okay so Gordon goes all "if I'm going down, I'm taking you with me". At first, Bullock thought he was an idiot and just wanted to die faster, but after he had his last night with a women he decides he'll backup Gordon on his crazy plan to arrest Falcone and the mayor.

Before, Bullock joined him no one wanted to help Gordon. What's the point of helping a dead man? MCU was there to help Gordon before he became another mark on Victor's skin (love this villain so far). Gordon was then healed by the beautiful Dr. Thompkins and went on his merry way. Before he went into battle, Gordon visited the Wayne's residence promising Bruce that if he didn't come out alive MCU would take over the case of his parents' murder.

Barbara is an idiot. Barbara is an idiot. Barbara is an idiot. Just have a baby already and then jump off a cliff because you're useless on this show.

Now onto the good stuff. Turns out Falcone and Penguin have been working together the whole time. Didn't see that one coming, but that does explain why Falcone isn't worried about his current condition. He knows everything that's happening. Penguin made a deal with Falcone that if he spared his life, Penguin would offer up some great information (Mooney is pushing Falcone out along with Nikolai) in exchange Falcone will let Gordon be the one to kill him (because he knew most likely Gordon wouldn't be able to do it) and if he survived Falcone would have a snitch for life. Everything seems to working out perfectly, the only problem is Gordon. However, Penguin insists that he needs Gordon alive which is why Falcone didn't kill Gordon for the 2nd time (instead he gave him some BS excuse of "you trusted me, so there's hope for you yet". Most likely Penguin wants Gordon alive because we already know Falcone will try to bring down Mooney and Maroni and Gordon will bring down Penguin's last obstacle, Falcone, since no one else dare tries. Thus, leaving Penguin the new kingpin. Brilliant!

The only thing Penguin doesn't know about is Mooney's secret weapon (the girl).

S2 E7

Okay, so that was the best twist of the season so far. Instead of them saying people would talk about the episode before this one, they should have said this episode would be what everyone is talking about. I did not see the twist coming until right before the daughter stepped out of the car. Awesome!

The case-of-the-week was about Iran killing US's nuclear scientists for revenge since the US apparently killed theirs first so the US could stop them from building a nuclear weapon. But we didn't know until half way through that they didn't know who the scientists were and they planned to steal one to build one for them. It was an elaborate plan, but it worked and I'm glad that the US got tricked. It's nice to know we can still be duped. Not in real life, but for the show I like it.

This case was also personal for agent Samar. Her brother was killed by the number-of-the-week and she wanted payback. But it turns out, her brother wasn't as innocent as she thought, at least that's what the number-of-the-week said. Whether she believed him or not is still up for debate, but what's not is the number-of-the-week being killed execution style. I'm pretty sure we can assume she did it.

Ressler is still battling with his addiction, but he seems to be winning. As for Keen, she still has her husband locked down on a boat somewhere. Tom says he already knows Liz is going to kill him, but when she does, he wants her to look him in the eye and do it.

As for the surprise of the week, the daughter Red has been talking to these past episodes is not his daughter, but Berlin's daughter. So who's body was being chopped up into pieces? Or are we not supposed to care?

Red's daughter is still missing and I'm still wondering about the picture Red took from the Stewmaker. Is his daughter still alive?

S7 E5

Two weeks ago, Castle had a great murderer. Actually, I wish this murderer was like the 3XK, as in, the case wouldn't be a regular case-of-the-week and solved in 1 episode. I think this killer was far better than a lot of killers on Castle and I would have loved it if we got to know about him over time.

I did find a little blunder during this amazing episode though. The media were already calling him a serial killer and I was thinking how was a serial killer when he's only killed 2 people so far in the episode (you at least need to kill 3). Turns out the media knew something that the viewers didn't even know yet. He killed his high school bully. It seems like the media was in on it the whole time.

Anyway, the case-of-the-week was about a person who was a victim back in high school because of old fashion bullying, but it was a cyber bullying attack that sent him over the edge and now he's turned into a cyber bully himself by attacking the popular kids on Snapchat Snapamatic. As much as this guy was twisted because of the way he made people vote on who should live, he made a value point. Who is sick in this game? Him, the person who put these "famous" people on the chopping block, or his followers, who didn't have to follow his snaps and who voted?

Some people are sick on the internet and they hide behind a mouse and a computer screen. I would just love to get them to say it on the news so I can put a face to the name. I go with the motto, if I wouldn't say it in public, then I wouldn't say it in on the internet. It is after all a public domain.

Nothing at the home front happened this week other than the hilarious song of Castle which I'll post later. It's just way too catchy.

The episode tonight is supposedly the wedding episode. I say supposedly because we all remember what happened last time. We'll just have to wait and see.

Previously On...Monday

Hey People,

I've decided not to do a recap for Castle because I think the point of a recap is to remember what happened the week before. I don't know why everyone does a recap the night of the show. I just watched it. I don't need a recap of something I just watched. Reviews are different though, they're more opinionated so at least I get the perspective of the writer. I'll recap Castle, next week when they have a new episode.

Omg I love this show. It's so cute. My favorite thing is listening to the narrator. He just makes everything sound sexy.

Okay so this whole episode is about Jane not being a virgin anymore, which is fine. But here's a question, if she isn't a virgin anymore than doesn't that change the whole premise of the show? Thinking too far ahead I know, anyway Jane may be starting to have feelings for Rafael, but she originally shrugs it off as hormones. Eventually, she admits it to herself and figures maybe it's not the best time to be rushing into it. But many things were happening while Jane was trying to figure out her feelings.

Michael was dealing with Petra by stealing her scarf from the crime scene and is now being blackmailed by her to help her not be a person of interest because she wasn't where she said she was during the murder of Zaz.

Petra + affair = divorce = Michael + baby

Xo is dealing with Jane's baby daddy, who seems like an idiot to me so thank god it didn't rub off on Jane. Rafael put it together that Petra was Zaz's girlfriend. Thank god he's not an idiot. Rafael's sister, Luisa, is still being sued by Jane and had a very pleasant meeting with her, which was very short as she got another waiter for them. Luisa is still sexing her step-mother and almost got caught by her father. Man that family is crazy and I have to admit, I love watching.

That song in the middle of the show really threw me for a loop. For some reason I was more focused on the fact g-ma spoke English. the marriage is next week and we all know that ain't happening anytime soon, at least that's what I think. No fireflies were hurt during the making of this episode. LOL, they are killing me.

Okay this is the 2nd time I'm saying this, but can someone tell Ben McKenzie to get his conviction right. I swear, sometimes he makes his character mad for  no reason. I seriously say to myself why are you saying that line so angry? And while I'm critiquing, I might as well mention that the writers really need to give Barbara something better to do than just annoy the audience with her "Tell me the truth Gordon, I just want the truth". With that being said let's get to it.

Okay I thought I was done critiquing, but I'm not. One more thing, spirit of the goat? You really couldn't come up with a better name? Whatever, so Bullock worked on a case 10 years ago on this goatman, but then wasn't too sure he got the right guy when he saw that penny in the head, something him and his partner back then never told anyone about. So this wasn't a copycat, but a partner of the guy 10 years ago. It turns out that theory was wrong also because things weren't adding up. Bullock then notices a clutch of the hand from the murderer and remembers a sexy therapist also taught clutching of the hand to her patients. Bullock was actually being a detective for once. What a rare moment to witness. Anyway, the therapist was behind it all because she thought the 1% were poison to Gotham and needed to be taught a lesson that they are not safe. Again, I have to side with the villain on this. You know what if I was a character on Gotham, I would totally be a villain and I'm not ashamed to admit it.

Bruce, Alfred, and Cat were around, but they really had a pointless scenes. Mooney was MIA and so was everyone in the mafia except for Penguin. He was with his mother for most of the episode and wasn't relevant until he showed up and the precinct when Gordon and Bullock were being arrested. And now it seems like Bullock is going to kill Gordon for not killing Penguin. Oh almost forgot, glad that Nygma was actually part of the show for once. His bit was pretty funny. I want to see more of him.

I called everything in this episode. I knew it was Dembe in the beginning. I knew the lady would kill herself and her son in the tub. I knew Red would kill the guy in charge. I knew Liz was keeping Tom as a prisoner. I actually would have liked it if it wasn't Tom at all, but maybe Red's ex-wife, but there was too much foreshadowing leading up to it. Nothing in this episode surprised me and they lied about this being the episode to talk about. I'm pretty sure everyone already knew.

The case-of-the-week was weird. I guess I could say nice dolls, but that's about it. A family was killing cartels and the mastermind behind it was the father, who was just using people all over the place including the cartels, but it was never about the money. I wasn't really into this case to be honest and hopefully this episode tonight will focus on Tom.

Almost forgot to say Ressler is a junkie and now you are caught up. Also, Peter Fonda!

Hey People,

I really do love these villains they come up with. I always seem to sympathize with them. This viper "villain" again was going about it the wrong way. It seems that the board members and that black lady who isn't a board member at Wayne Enterprise are the true villains in Gotham right now. Before we get into characters can I just ask how was Gordon not affected by the viper or venom or whatever you want to call it nowadays? He was right there.

Anyway, Gordon and Bullock track down the viper killer who was spreading the strength killer vile so that people knew what WellZyn was up to. BTW, it was nice seeing Blair's mom from Gossip Girl.

Meanwhile, Penguin for some reason unknown to me, tells Maroni he was a goon for Fish Mooney. Maybe he wanted to move up in the world. Maroni didn't trust him so he got Gordon to tell the story just to make sure it wasn't a lie. At first, I was thinking why didn't Maroni just blackmail Gordon since Penguin isn't supposed to be alive, but then again Maroni wants to have the upper hand on Falcone, who seems to have a plan himself.

But Maroni and Falcone aren't the only ones with a plan. Mooney is already at work turning Falcone's people against him and her secret weapon is already in play. And may I say, her secret weapon cleaned up very nicely.

Cat was seen stealing for like 2 seconds and then disappeared for the entire show. Barbara was nowhere in sight and I didn't miss her one bit and I wish they would use Edward Nygma more.

Wow someone dying is not how I pictured this episode ending at all. So Jane is still oblivious to a bunch of things still. She doesn't know about her father or her baby daddy's marriage is as rocky as an earthquake or the fact that she's growing growing feelings for her baby daddy. I may have jumped too far ahead, but you know it's coming. Jane decides to be selfish and think only about herself. So yes, she is going to keep her job and yes, it is no longer a milkshake, but a baby to her and what she needs right now is consistency.

Xo is a great mother, even though she may not think she is and Jane never gets to see that side of her, one thing is for sure, she will protect her baby. And it seemed like she was trying to make another baby with Jane's father. Too bad g-ma walked in on them. Maybe when she wakes up from fainting, she'll think she fell asleep on the couch or something.

Petra is in some doodoo that she made herself. Everyone knows when you start an affair, the first thing, you need is an exit strategy. Okay not true the first thing you need is an excuse, then an exit strategy to get out of sticky situations such as these. Also, never do the best friend. Rules to live by. Anyway, Roman tried to kill her, but she played it off as if she was testing him. She fooled me and apparently Michael as well. But it seems like she really wants to give her marriage a real shot this time the fact that she actually cried makes me believe that her tears were real. However, someone already knows the ending to this story already. I didn't know the actress was on Three's Company, probably because I never stopped and watched any of the episodes after Suzanne Somers left.

Rafael is really a nice guy. He could have told Jane about his cancer last episode and he could have told her about the hotel this episode, but he decides against it. It just goes and shows you people can change when your life depends on it. I'm not sure if they dived into it or not and I just missed it, but why does Rafael's father favor Luisa over him? Is he not is biological son? I mean they are both have screwed up in the past so it can't be that. Something to watch out for this episode.

And the biggest surprise goes to Luisa doing her step-mother. Mouth was wide open for that. I just did not see that one coming at all. I knew she was married, I just thought it was to another hot lady. Just wow!

Finally, I have to ask this question. Who killed Roman? Was it Petra to start over with her husband? Was it Rafael because somehow he found out? Was it Michael because he really does not want to have this baby in his life? Or was it that guy who hasn't been seen in 4 years and is the reason why the hotel is being staked by the police? Let's tune in and find out.

Ugh, the last thing I needed was an episode dedicated to a disease spreading throughout the world. I won't even mention the E word, but I will mention the N word, which is nipple as in nipple guards.

So Red was basically trying to track down his daughter the whole time and finds her by the end of the episode. Now how long will it take him to talk to her is another question. And what was that key for?

Keen and crew were running against the clock trying to stop the disease from spreading, but if it wasn't for the near death experience she had because she was infected along with Samar, we wouldn't have gotten that great moment when Keen admits that she was jealous of Red trying to find his daughter and I would never have known about nipple guards. I think that's genius.

Apparently, tonight's episode will be the talk of the town according to their promo, so something is going down and it all revolves around that door. This episode is not to be missed.

As much as I wish I could go back to 2nd grade, where homework didn't take me the whole night plus the morning, this episode made me realize that I never want to go back to that dark place ever again.

Castle goes undercover as himself to uncover which kid was in the ice cream truck. It turned out not to be a kid at all and, but we did get to see how Castle acts among his peers. Burn!

This is one of those rare cases where the people committing the crime were doing it for good reason (see Gotham above)--help immigrants out.

Meanwhile, back at home Alexis was being so motherly, I'm surprised they didn't show her attempting to bathe Castle or even worse, try to sleep with him at night. That would have been way awkward. Alexis has always been the parent, but it was just too much, but it ended well.

Love how the little girl punched that kid. I'm sorry, but that kid was so annoying. We kind of had someone like that in our class, but he was hysterical. I guess it's totally different when you're the grown up in the situation, but in his defense, he only did it to our teachers. Anyway, I liked how Castle and Beckett were in sync (as usual) with their "One day". This episode plus the one when Castle and Beckett have to take care of a baby makes me want them to have a kid more than wanting them get married.

Previously On...Monday

Hey People,

Is it just me or is does Gordon only have two faces--grumpy and stern? I mean c'mon Ben let him smirk every once in awhile. Makes me think that Gordon uses botox already.

Anyway, let's get to it. We let off with Penguin visiting Gordon and Penguin wants to help Gordon rid of the evils in Gotham (only to put himself in charge, but that's another matter). He warns Gordon again about the evil that's coming aka politics.

Maroni and Falcone are battling it out for the Arkham District and even dupe so low as to both hiring the same hitman to take out councilmen who would vote against them. In the end, Gordon and Bullock save the day by killing the hitman who was going after the mayor and the mayor decides to give Falcone the rights for housing development and Maroni gets to refurbish Arkham and the waste disposal site with a waste. On the plus side Arkham Asylum won't be destroyed. I thought the hitman was pretty good. At least he was dedicated to his job until the very end.

Penguin finally got himself some dough because of the turf war. He hired some guns to ransack his job and kill the manager. Maroni thought it was Falcone and retaliated and we all know how it ends (since I just told you). Penguin then killed his guns to I guess get rid of evidence. Besides, those guys were idiots, who would rat on him in a matter of seconds. Good job Penguin. He's finally doing something right.

Meanwhile, Mooney was finding the perfect seductress to use against Falcone because as she puts it Falcone is getting weak and the fact that he didn't get all of Arkham is just proof of it.

Finally Gordon knows about Montoya and Barbra and man was upset about it because he felt lied to. Barbra gives him an ultimatum either he starts telling her the truth or he should let her go. I don't know why the writers wrote her like this since it makes no sense since she's talking about secrets that pertain to his job and not his personal life, but whatever. I just hope they come up with better ideas to use Barbra than this because right now she's adding nothing to the storyline and I'm still waiting for her to get pregnant.

Jane the Virgin S1 E1 Review

City dogs, they won't get the stick for no one. Let's start with Red and how he's sill in love with his wife (sister my *ss). I can't believe her husband is cheating on her and was planning to leave her too. Only someone still in love with her would not tell her her husband is a lying, cheating b*stard.

While Red was dealing with his extended family, Keen was solving the number of the week, which was rather interesting. A doctor decided to solve the issue of mass murders by targeting people who are more likely to commit them. As they say, the ends don't justify the means. He went about it wrong. He identified people with a certain gene and then put them in an environment where they were more likely to commit the crime. But in the end, he knew the only way for his research to get recognition was for him to die. He died, but still no recognition. It is hinted however that Keen may have the warrior gene.

Keen ends up meeting with Red's ex to discuss what Keen means to Red, but the conversation was pointless since ex didn't tell her sh*t. Yet, she knows the connection between them and asked Red when is he going to tell her the truth.

Turns out Keen's stalker was actually one of Red's men and like Red said if she doesn't want someone to protect her than she must be hiding something. At the end of the episode, you see Keen with a set of keys and a door. So she was telling the truth? How did she find her husband?

I thought I was going to have to write about how I miss the good old days of Castle when it was light and funny and not so dark all the time. But don't get me wrong I do like some of those darker episodes especially the one where Beckett goes undercover. So glad the new mythology was put on hold for a bit. So far I'm not really liking it and wished the Beckett's mother story didn't end, but that could change depending on where this new one goes. I'm hoping it has to do with Castle's father and Castle ended up killing someone in cold blood which is why he wanted to forget. But I shouldn't even be talking about that because this episode was awesome and I believe many people agree with me.

We're back into the groove again (I was worried for a second). This was an amazing case of the week that dealt with cloaking (and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who looked it up to see if it was real or not). It really did seem like an invisible man situation was happening (that movie creeped me out btw). One of my favorite scenes of the night was when Beckett was getting strangled, not that I don't like her or anything, I just thought it was really cool how they were trying to fight someone they couldn't see and then Beckett (the voice of reason) couldn't explain what had happened and "lied" to her boss. But it turns out Castle was sort of right. The government was involved, but they couldn't get the right formula so their cloak didn't work. However, the man who got killed had a neighbor who did get it right, and therefore, they were able to make the invisible cloak. A deal with the devil indeed. This all came down to a woman who was scorned and felt the need to get revenge because she felt used. The End

Well, not quite The End yet. Now let's talk relationships. Castle and Beckett haven't done the you-know-what in awhile since you know, the whole amnesia and missing for 2 months thing. My favorite lines of the line came out of this

Castle: And you thought zombie apocalypse survival camp was a waste of time?
Beckett: You just kind of made nerdy, sexy.

And then Martha came in. 'Nuff said. But eventually, they did the you-know-what and we got to see Beckett's birthday shoulder.

Speaking of relationships, Esposito and Ryan's moved to another level when Espo gave Ryan a thong for men. Ryan needed a 2nd job and got one at a male strip club to start on his little girl's tuition for college. He'll fit right in.

Gotham Full Season Order!

Hey People,

So if you haven't heard yet, Gotham got a full season order.

Do you know what that means? I get to have see 22 episodes of Batman trying to be suicidal, Barbra having sexual fantasies about Renee, Gordon being such a good guy that you want to shoot him, Mooney barely wearing any clothes, Bullock not doing his job, Alfred being one of the worst guardians ever, Cat stalking suicidal boy, Nygma...well he just hasn't been around.

Don't get me wrong, I still like this show and will continue to watch and if you haven't checked it out, you should.

Remember: Cobblepot is to penguin as Mcfly is to chicken.

Previously On...Monday

Hey People,

I thought this "villain" was awesome. I mean he sent bad people to the sky, the only problem was they fell on old ladies.

Gordon finds out Cat was at the scene with a little help from the feline. Too bad she escapes from her cuffs before he can find out who killed the Waynes. I don't understand why Gordon is so upset over killing Pepper. It was a clean shot to me. His life was in danger and Bullock killed him before Gordon got killed. The end. Stop making it bigger than it is because it really isn't. If you want to feel guilty about making a promise to catch the real killer than feel guilty about that not about killing Pepper because that makes no sense.

I like how they're already bringing up vigilantes. I guess from a cop's perspective a vigilante is the same as a bad guy. Cue montage of tracking down leads and Bullock getting beat up by a girl, but a very strong girl.

So there really was something between Barbra and Renee, but apparently Renee was an alcoholic. Had a good thing hon, sucks that you ruined it.

Fish is dealing with Falcone sh*t, which also includes killing her lover. Penguin found a job and may have found someone who isn't going to make fun of him and then shows up at Gordon's door. Umm...okay Penguin.

So this is a new show for you. Jane the Virgin is supposed to be the best fall TV show of the season at least that's what the critics been saying.

I'm not sure if these same critics saw How to Get Away with Murder, but if they did, then I am really looking forward to it.

I guess it's pretty obvious just by looking at the poster that Jane is a virgin and she gets pregnant someway somehow and also that she really, really, really likes the color pink.

What an interesting number. A doctor rents organs to sick people and if they can't pay, then it gets repossessed, but only rich people have to pay. It's an interesting case that even Liz has trouble wrapping her head around it because even she thinks the doctor isn't such a bad guy. The only problem I have is the renting of organs isn't fair across the board.

Pee-wee as a bad guy? Never. Red set up his partners to see who was trustworthy and may I say at first I didn't see it coming, but then I had to pause my TV to do something and when I came back before I unpaused I thought about the plot of the episode. "This is a setup," I said and the next thing you know Red comes in and kills the betrayer.

Liz also failed her psych evaluation because she didn't mourn. This plus the fact she didn't think the doctor was bad is making her team believe she's changed. Girl really needs to change into another motel because she already has another person following her. The good thing is he's cute.

Finally, we get to see what Red did with his wife and it turns out she's a hostage of some sort. The woman cannot catch a break, but she is the only one that can get away with slapping Red. Okay, maybe her and Liz are the only two.

Let's get the case of the week out of the way. A guy goes undercover boss (whatever happened to that show?) and finds out that his business is being used to smuggle in drugs and is killed when he finds out the secretary is behind it.

Okay I love how this show starts with an interview of Castle and the interviewer says, "Amnesia, really?" That's exactly what I said during the premiere. Anyway Castle offers a reward $250,000 for anyone who knew about his whereabouts at the time.

Lanie and Esposito are back together, which is nice, but I wish we got to see it happen.

I know I'm not the only one, who thought the kiss between Castle and Gates was weird and out of character for him. That was just all kinds of awkward in my book.

Beckett is having trouble trusting Castle and I'm having a great deal of trouble not throwing my shoe at the TV. This show seems off somehow like this great big mystery will be looming until it's solved and I don't think things will be the same until it's over. I'm starting to hate this mythology.

Castle and the loony alien guy was a funny bit during the case and so was the makeup artist sleeping.

A lead pans out for Castle and he's minus $250K. Off to Canada we go, I mean what could go wrong in Canada. Castle and Alexis find a letters and a video at the bank in case Castle died from whatever he was doing. With the help from Tori (make her part of the team already), Castle goes back to Montreal and finds the warehouse he recorded the video from. There, he meets the guy from the last episode who faked who he was. Castle finds out he wanted to erase his memory of the events that took place. He even told the guy the real reason why he became a writer. I'm a little bit upset that he lied to Beckett about that because it has to be one of the great moments they share together and now it's tainted because Castle lied to her.

In the end, Castle and Beckett decide in one month they'll revisit the marriage idea.

Catwoman Can Dance!

Hey People,

This is funny. I love Ciara's "Got Me Good" music video because it actually features dancing throughout the whole video and I'm talking about actual dancing not booty shaking "dancing".

It turns out that Camren Bicondova (Catwoman on Gotham) is a backup dancer in the video. When I saw an article about it I skimmed through it and all I saw was Ciara and Gotham  and I was like "OMG". I put it together before I read the actual article.

Anyway, Camren was part of the group 8 Flavahz that was even on America's Best Dance Crew.
