Previously On...Sunday

Hey People.

Okay So I was a bit confused on when Bellamy died, but last week's episode really cleared that up for me. Man was shot and Jacob knew the whole time. Damn Jacob speak up about it. This isn't The Sixth Sense. 

Jacob is curious about death. Margaret is a bit scary in this episode (almost thought she was going to hit Henry), but all she's looking for is familiarity and apparently dead bodies. Still don't know how she knew they were there.

Pastor Tom is having some difficulty handling his feelings. Really feel bad for him and glad I'm not in his shoes. But I do have to say, it did seem like he was making love to someone else. I wonder what would have happened if it was Rachael. Actually, I'm pretty sure at first he thought it was Rachael. It doesn't help that I think both of the actresses look alike. Like seriously in another show, they could play as sisters. Let me just add love the face Rachael had when she saw Janine back in the house.

Finally, another returned...well...returned, but then disappeared. Still have no idea why, but maybe we'll find out more tonight.

Okay I know I said I would quit writing about this show, but I watched it because I was waiting for The Good Wife to start and I have to say that last episode was horrible. Really, Madam Secretary writers?

I found this article that pretty much summed up my feelings about that episode.

I made the right decision in not adding Madam Secretary to my list of shows that's all I have to say.

Lives Claimed

Hey People,

Do or Die Week is over and these are lives that were claimed:

I liked Red Band Society because it had heart and I would have continued on with it if it weren't for ratings. I guess people don't want to watch sick kids every week. The ratings are really horrible, I would argue so bad that it will take a miracle to save it. I can just tell there won't be a 2nd season and you know I don't like cliffhangers so I have to say goodbye to this show.

The Mysteries of Laura was also another show that I did like. I continued watching because it was funny. I mean really funny. Surprised that it isn't a B99 type show. Anyway, you know I'm not a fan of procedural and I thought that's all this show is going to ever be so I dropped it. However, if it does make it to it's 2nd season, someone let me know if they create some mythology for this show. I will definitely come back if they do.

They said that if you liked The Good Wife, then you will definitely like this show. The thing is I didn't. My parents seem to like it though. I don't know I just don't like being reminded or real life problems watching a TV. TGW to me is more personal and mythological in its approach and I know it wasn't always like that (TGW started as a procedural), but it was always about Alicia and her personal life with a mix of the case of the week. Madam Secretary is more case of the week and a little bit of mythology which seems to me will take forever to dive into more. I'll probably continue to watch because my parents watch, but I don't think it's worth writing about. That could change though.

 Scorpion is a great show, I just hate all the characters in it. There's not one single character that I care about. If they all burned in a fire, I would say, "Who do we have as replacements?" That's why this show is not for me. I think the concept is great except for "the interpreter" I think she's useless. There's not one thing she can do that "the behaviorist" couldn't do better. This show is actually doing great in ratings so it's not going anywhere I just don't care to see it.

I just wrote a review about this show as to why I think it should be passed, but I'll just some it up for you. I was really looking forward to Stalker. However, I was totally let down by it. I knew the new detective was stalking his family and the case of the week was kind of boring to watch to be honest. The only thing I really liked was Maggie Q's character getting a new stalker that's going to be interesting. I'm actually shocked how I wasn't shocked in the premiere since this is a Kevin Williamson show. You think I would be a little bit scared, but I wasn't at all. I just wasn't impressed enough during the premiere to continue.

Sunday Recap

Hey People,

Another one bites the dust.

So I guess this poster is right. He really is dead. So now what? He has to report to some woman he just met? And I thought she was supposed to answer his questions.

The Sheriff is still a drunk, but I totally saw him hitting on Elaine coming. However, I did not predict his mother slapping him out of his state. It's so great to see Michelle Fairley back on TV again. Last time I saw her, her throat was being cut open--red wedding.

So what happened to Bellamy in his lost week? Did they probe and test him? And where are the others and what are they doing to them?

Maybe we'll get more answers from that weirdo woman.

I'm pulling the cord on this show. Why? Well because it's too political. I actually don't mind watching politics, but I don't really want to be reminded when I watch my shows. Yes you could argue that The Good Wife is political too, but it is also more personal and I would say it's way more personal than political. I can't say the same thing about Madam Secretary.

TGW didn't start out that great either it was a procedural as well, but nowadays I just don't have time to nurse a show. It'll still probably play throughout the house since my parents watch, but I won't be. At least I will know if it gets good or not.

Quick summary of last episode: they stopped a Benghazi from happening and got their man out before he was killed and at home her college daughter came home because of pressure from school.

The only thing I liked about this show is the "accident" and that's just not enough for me to stay.

Sunday Recap

Hey People,

Here's your 2nd chance Madam Secretary and I wonder will happen to Cary on The Good Wife. Here's to the new show in the group Resurrection that premieres tonight.

Okay maybe I do have bad memory because I totally forgot about this show and it's a really good show. I binged through it in the summer and thought it was pretty decent. Not many shows survive a series premiere in the spring.

As I recall, a bunch of people come out of nowhere who have resurrected from the dead and the military started to round them. We also found out Bellamy is the same boy a returned family was looking for. Does this mean he died with them or is he the only one that survived? Apparently, this poster on the left is stating the former rather than the latter, but maybe it's supposed to be misleading.

Anyway, we'll see what will happen in this show tonight. I'm glad I get the chance to watch it live this time. Well, at least during the same week as it airs (The Good Wife shares the same time slot).

Madam Secretary Pilot Review

Hey People,

Let me start off by saying I am a huge fan of The Good Wife if you didn't know already, so when I heard that the people who love The Good Wife would love this show, you know I had to put this on my top priority. Madam Secretary, I really have nothing to say about it, but you know I’ll try anyway. Let me explain.

Summary: A plan disappears (if it had not been for this past year I wouldn't have bought this part of the story) and takes along with it the Secretary of State. A mother/professor steps into the role, but not without a making a few enemies along the way. Did the plan disappear on purpose? Does she have a target on her back if she doesn’t play nice?

There is definitely a conspiracy going on in this show, which is actually what I loved most about the pilot. I know that I’ve said in the past how I wish a certain show didn't get into the conspiracy, but I have to say that’s the only thing I was really into in the show. I really couldn't stand the crime of the week. Why? Because it wouldn’t have happened. A really nice thing about this show is that it is trying to be very realistic, basing situations on real scenarios. But here’s the thing, we all know the US doesn't negotiate with terrorists, especially when we have to pay for our people’s return because we know that money would be used to buy guns or to obtain more hostages and then we would just be funding their organization because they know we would pay. How do I know this? Because it just happened with a journalist in the US. Being a realistic show can be a really good thing, but it can also be this show’s undoing.

My Sunday Lineup

Hey People,

And so it begins, even though technically it began last week with some FOX and NBC shows coming out, but now it's officially on the way. So if you wanted to know what I'm going to watch this Sunday night, then I'll be happy to tell you.

Probably my favorite season out of any show that I watched last year and definitely their best season ever. Got one of my friends and both of my parents hooked and now we all can't wait for this season to begin.

If you haven't watched it, I highly suggest that you do, especially since Julianna Margulies just won Best Actress for her role. This show was definitely robbed of a nomination for Best Drama.

As for what is coming for this year, I hear that their plan is not to top Season 5 because to them it can't be outdone, but instead they plan to go in another direction than anything previously done.

No matter what, I trust in the Kings!






All I know about this show is Tea Leoni character becomes Secretary of State, she's a woman, and she's hardcore. That's it. Oh wait, I forgot, Frasier's ex-wife is in it. Now, that's it.

I hear people who like The Good Wife will like this show, but the only similarity I see so far is that they're both hardcore women, who have a political agenda and don't take BS from men. We'll have to wait and see if Madam Secretary can be on par with the beast of The Good Wife.

Either way, I'll be checking it out and doing a review of it that will be posted.
