Limitless Season 1 Finale Review

Hey People,

What a great season from start to finish. I don't usually do this but I'm giving out an award. Limitless wins for most consistent show of the year. There wasn't one episode that I didn't enjoy. Okay maybe the first episode, but in my defense, it was mediocre. I'm so glad it grew into its own. I can't see anyone playing Brian Finch other than Jake McDorman.

I have gotten a lot of predictions wrong on this show. I thought Brian's father would die in the finale. I thought Rebecca would grow feelings for Brian. I thought Boyle would take the pill. I thought Brian wouldn't tell Rebecca everything. I thought Brian wouldn't tell his father everything. I have just been wrong on so many levels with this show, but that's why I like it. I can never guess correctly. It's even better when I can't even guess at all. I'm still hoping Brian's father dies. I need something dramatic and also, I just don't like the guy.

I don't know if Rebecca will develop romantic feelings for Brian. As of yet I don't think so even though the show sort of hints at it a few times, but it's left to interpretations on whether it's romantic or not. Even now, I do think down the road it will turn to be romantic even though I do like Brian's girlfriend. Girl is always on the move, but she did give my boy the shot of a lifetime. Brian is now fully immune to the side effects of NZT. No more boosters! So question of the day is why hasn't Sen. Morra figured this out yet? Isn't he still a bad guy? I guess the focus of next year will be to take him down. Does that mean we'll see more of Bradley Cooper? I was shocked how many times we saw him already. I really don't see any other obstacle in their way other than him. Who would have guessed Morra would be the bad guy. That means Limitless, the movie, was actually the making of a bad guy. Think about it.

Future Predictions:
The team focuses on bringing down Sen Morra and now that the drug is out there they have to catch anyone who's making/distributing/taking the drug. Speaking of team, Brian got his team back and I guess he's in charge of it now. Exclamation point!

Limitless still has not been renewed yet and it seems like a ton of shows this year are getting the boot. ABC is having a massacre. And while I was not thrilled about this show initially because it took the place of my other favorite show Person of Interest, it definitely earned its own spot on my list of must watch. Please get this renewed.

Luv ya,
            Diva

P.S Now that end had a bunch of people from previous episodes come back? Does that mean some of them might stick around on Brian's team? I doubt it. I think it was just for fun. Plus, Rebecca, Boyle, Mike, and Ike are enough if you ask me. Let's not forget the janitor and the tech guy who plays some sort of Dungeon and Dragon game.

P.P.S. We know Mike's name! But who cares since he's always going to be called Mike to us.

  1. Good review. Great show from start to finish, and I can't believe that CBS is actually shopping this to other networks. What is that all about.
On another note, it's probably a good thing you stopped watching Castle. The ending was rushed and awkward. Very disappointed.

    1. I thought the news on whether Limitless would be renewed would be out yesterday but I guess not. I can't believe they are shopping around. I would say give it to the CW, but I don't think it would fit there.

Don't get me started on Castle. I didn't watch anymore, but I read up on some things and I just can't understand what they were thinking. How can you have a show without Beckett. They didn't even ask the chick back. Something is not right.

  2. Sounds to me like the new ABC exec didn't want the show back unless they could really cut the budget and give it a reboot. Beckett was the logical choice since Castle could then become a PI show. I think they then leaked the info to see fan reaction well before they had to green light it or cancel. Well, we know the outcome. Pretty bad all the way around.

    1. I never understood how cutting Beckett seemed logical. She's half of the show. For 5 seasons, people were waiting to see them get together. Made no sense to me. Glad they ended. But they needed to ended it at the wedding or last season.

  3. I cannot believe that Limitless has now been cancelled. I now believe that the execs at CBS are on drugs...very strong drugs.

    1. Limitless now joins Forever in having so much potential, yet short lived.

    2. At least Forever and Limitless had decent endings. You can't say that about a lot of shows even when they know they're getting cancelled.

  4. Agreed. Although I love when my favorite shows go on for several seasons, I supposed even good shows can be more like a short story. Mark this one and Forever as two of my favorite one season wonders.
