Hey People,
Do or Die Week is over and these are lives that were claimed:
I liked Red Band Society because it had heart and I would have continued on with it if it weren't for ratings. I guess people don't want to watch sick kids every week. The ratings are really horrible, I would argue so bad that it will take a miracle to save it. I can just tell there won't be a 2nd season and you know I don't like cliffhangers so I have to say goodbye to this show.
The Mysteries of Laura was also another show that I did like. I continued watching because it was funny. I mean really funny. Surprised that it isn't a B99 type show. Anyway, you know I'm not a fan of procedural and I thought that's all this show is going to ever be so I dropped it. However, if it does make it to it's 2nd season, someone let me know if they create some mythology for this show. I will definitely come back if they do.
They said that if you liked The Good Wife, then you will definitely like this show. The thing is I didn't. My parents seem to like it though. I don't know I just don't like being reminded or real life problems watching a TV. TGW to me is more personal and mythological in its approach and I know it wasn't always like that (TGW started as a procedural), but it was always about Alicia and her personal life with a mix of the case of the week. Madam Secretary is more case of the week and a little bit of mythology which seems to me will take forever to dive into more. I'll probably continue to watch because my parents watch, but I don't think it's worth writing about. That could change though.
Scorpion is a great show, I just hate all the characters in it. There's not one single character that I care about. If they all burned in a fire, I would say, "Who do we have as replacements?" That's why this show is not for me. I think the concept is great except for "the interpreter" I think she's useless. There's not one thing she can do that "the behaviorist" couldn't do better. This show is actually doing great in ratings so it's not going anywhere I just don't care to see it.
I just wrote a review about this show as to why I think it should be passed, but I'll just some it up for you. I was really looking forward to Stalker. However, I was totally let down by it. I knew the new detective was stalking his family and the case of the week was kind of boring to watch to be honest. The only thing I really liked was Maggie Q's character getting a new stalker that's going to be interesting. I'm actually shocked how I wasn't shocked in the premiere since this is a Kevin Williamson show. You think I would be a little bit scared, but I wasn't at all. I just wasn't impressed enough during the premiere to continue.

Wednesday Recap
Hey People,
Last week, they solved the case of the "Hitch" killer and also gave dwarf a whole new different meaning.
This show is funny and I wish that it was a half hour show. However, it is Do or Die week and this will be my 1st victim. But, and this is a huge BUT, if someone can tell me that a small mythology starts let me know. I'll start watching again.
Many people are comparing this to Harry's Law not because they're similar shows, but because they are very skewed to an older audience. This might be the reason why TMoL gets cancelled in the end, but as of right now it's fine. It is still way too early to tell.
This show on the other hand is in danger. It's in the Red! Ratings are really not doing well. I'm not sure if I should continue watching knowing how bad these ratings are. For now, I think I will.
Anyway, let's get back to the recap. Jordi got to keep his leg, but not because it didn't need to be amputated, but because there was no point when the cancer has already spread to his soft tissue. Leo got upset when he found out Jordi kept his leg, but he doesn't know why Jordi got to keep his (and I still think he doesn't know the reason). Leo gets jealous and does what every boy tries to do--get drunk.
Kara's mothers come to visit and are more about her cause than about her, that is until Emma talks to them saying they are forgetting about what should matter most--Kara. Turns out the nanny mother was the one that got the message and not her biological mother, but it all ends well in the end.
Charlie is still down under.

The Mysteries of Laura Pilot Review
Hey People,
So I heard so much about this show that I was just dying to watch it. Did I mention all the things I heard were bad? Do I agree with them? Well that's another question that I'll answer, but first...Let me explain.
Summary: Mom + Detective = Mom Detective. I know lame, but that's all I got.
Okay right off the bat I was like another cop show, great. I have a tiff about all cop, lawyer, doctor shows. It's hard for me to like them because they're so many of them and I just know there will be more for me to watch, but this is the first of the bunch. I should also mention that when I watch cop shows like these, if they are not different than what's on right now, then there is a very likely chance that I won't be watching another episode.
From this moment forward, the review starts. I love me some McG, the man behind Chuck, and I did get a feel like this show was trying to be Chuck in a way, with the case of the week and the funny comedic moments. The good thing is those funny moments worked very well. It had me giggling like an idiot and Debra Messing does a great job with it, as she should. However, one thing this show lacked was the charm of Chuck and that won't be easily duplicated. Now I don't know if it's because I came in with no hope for this show, but I thought it wasn't that bad. At least not as bad as some critics are making it to be.
