Resurrection Season 2 Finale Review

Hey People,

I just finished watching the season finale of Resurrection and if this turns out to be the series finale, then I'm content with that decision. There was enough closure in the finale that I won't be upset if it won't be brought back due to low ratings.

First let's talk about the finale. I thought it was okay. The thing about this show is you're never really worried that someone will die because there's just a possibility they'll be brought back, so I was surprised that Tom didn't even come back in the end, but we'll get into that later. The episode starts where it left off last week. Marty and the Langstons minus Margaret were all cooped up in the Langston's house trying to keep the mob at bay. Obviously this was a bad plan from the beginning, but they did call for backup and when they found out no one was coming, they knew they were screwed. I'm surprised they didn't shoot as many people as I thought they would. Fred shot one person and that was it. I would have gone down with guns blazing.

Hey People,

S2 E12
We're already here kids! Tonight will be the season finale, which is really sad too because as lackluster as this season has kinda been of late, I think it just started to get good. So far I thought Margaret was the bad of the season, but she's just a misguided good person like Fred was in the 1st season and I think the new pastor is the same way. They need to start introducing some actual bad people to actually be the baddie of the season. I thought the grandfather who died in the factory fire was a good opportunity, but just ended up going no where. I'll save the rest for the review after tonight.

As of last week, the new pastor has set everyone being held by the government free when he poisoned them all. Now he has a bunch of followers. It is way too easy to manipulate people when you do one nice thing for them. The new pastor believes Rachael's baby is the devil since it never lived. It seems like the baby may have some type of control over the return since all the returned were hypnotized and Jacob seems to be experiencing headaches and somehow he knows it's because of the baby. So what does this mean? The baby needs to die.

Rachael is staying at the Langstons since no one would know she was there, but because Jacob told Margaret about his headaches caused by the baby, Margaret is now working with the pastor and they know exactly where the Rachael is.

It seems like this finale will end in a fight. Just in case this is a series finale, I hope they wrap up the story that I won't have to say, "Well that was a waste." And we can we get a kiss or something between Marty and Maggie. I mean, c'mon already!

Hey People,

S2 E11
Not much happened last episode except Henry dying, but it didn't stick so what was the point in that? I didn't think the fight between Henry and Lucille would be such a big one, but when you start playing the blame game, how can it not be? In the end, everything is back to normal except now Henry is a returned.

Marty and the new pastor think they can bring people back from the dead and according to the new pastor, there is a line of people waiting to return.

Rachael finally made her way back to town. Was she on the other side of the world? Took her forever and a day. She's now staying above Elaine's bar for the time being and will pay her rent as a waitress.

Now that there is a way to help the returned return can they return Tom back?

Hey People,

S2 E10
Not much really happened last episode which made it kind of on the boring side. It wasn't until towards the end of the episode that it started to become sort of interesting. I don't know if I like where this show is going, but it's the beginning so we shall see.

Jacob and Margaret decide they are going to let go together, so the show picks up right where it left off during the fall finale. Lucille and Maggie decide to stay home in case Henry returns while Marty, Fred, and Henry go out looking for him.

Margaret tells Jacob the truth about her past and eventually the team finds them and takes Jacob away from Margaret.

Jacob reveals at home that he couldn't disappear because he thought of his parents. Margaret decides that the best thing for her is to be with her kind and be taken away by the government. Margaret tells Fred how a return disappears.

A vaccine has been made, and therefore, Marty will be cured. Marty asks to for the government to let him raise his sister to which they agree to. By the end of the episode, we see a new returned who was the pastor who tried to save Mary when he was baby. He plans on fixing the broken town with Marty's help.

I already don't trust the new pastor and am still holding out that Tom comes back. I hope this isn't the last we see of Margaret, but then again, I don't see Margaret being the "bad guy" anymore and therefore can't add any drama to the story.

Hey People,

And so we start again. Like I said before, I can't remember anything about any show since the last time they were on, so here's a recap before heading into shows tonight.

Here's a new show right out the gate that premieres tonight. It's a musical comedy and I haven't been into musicals in a very long time (since High School Musical ruined it for me), but I'm willing to give it a try and you should too.

The good thing already about this show is it's only on for a month so no way it will get cancelled before then. (Takes the place of Once Upon a Time.)

Resurrection S2 Midseason Finale Recap

Hey People,

S2 E9
Okay so I'm not even sure this episode can be called the midseason finale since they only have 4 episodes left before the season ends. Unless they get a back order which I haven't heard. I'm not even sure this show will even get a 3rd season, but let's not worry about that now. Let's get into the last episode of the year.

Marty was sick the whole entire episode and Maggie was with him basically watching him die. Maggie found a cure now that Ray is better and all they needed was Rachael. The funny thing is they couldn't find Rachael since she was being kidnapped by her crazy lover's wife, who says she just wanted to protected Rachael and the baby. Marty came up with an idea to use the Rachael's dead body at the government has to use for their cure. Marty and Maggie drive over there and it turns out the government doesn't want to help the returns anymore when it comes to their health concerns. They left feeling defeated, but luckily the lady Marty reports to gave him some spare meds so Marty can live for a few more days. But seriously when are these 2 going to kiss already?

Hey People,

S2 E8
Bellamy came out of the closet and now everyone knows he's a returned. Maggie may have found a cure using the stems of Rachael's unborn baby. Speaking of the babe, Janine has basically kidnapped Rachael to protect the child from harm and also to separate Tom and Rachael since Tom is in love with Rachael, which isn't a shock to anyone. However, Tom may be a returned this episode since he was run over by Carl who attacked his church to antagonize the returned. I felt sorry for Carl in the beginning of the season, but now he's crossed the line. You don't hurt my Tommy.

In other news, Maggie forgave Lucille for her outburst at her mother. If she didn't she would have been a hypocrite since she wasn't that nice to her mother in the beginning either. Elaine is still taking care of her brother and no one knows if this stem cure might work or not. Henry just made a deal with the devil since Margaret didn't tell him the truth as to why his partner backed out of the deal and now he has put his house as collateral. You know this isn't going to end well.

Don't forget to watch the midseason finale tonight

S1 E7
Okay I may be slow to the party, but I just realized the title song is about someone dying. How depressing. But, if you don't like depressing you can always look at it like I will from now on by thinking at least this death created life. If you haven't really listened to the song I suggest you do to understand what I'm saying.

Anyway, there is no He Said, She Said, Truth because they were both on point this time. So they're both winners. I think this is the first time their stories are this similar to each other. Even though nothing really happened this episode this episode other than the spouses finding out, it was still a necessary episode because it showed who really cared for whom.

He Said

Oscar blackmailed Noah about the affair and eventually he couldn't take the stress it was giving him even though he got the $10,000 from his best friend and told his wife everything. She knew it was Alison.

She Said

Noah left her a note in her basket on her bike. When she put some food in it, it got stick to it and the receiver of it was her stepmother. Her stepmother burned the note even though she desperately wanted to see it. When Alison went to visit Oscar to make peace and a brother punched Oscar, Oscar thought it was a good time to disclose Alison's affair. This is how her husband found out. She thought they needed a breather from each other so she went to New York to visit her bestie. The whole time she was thinking of Noah and even visited his wife's job and their house, only to be shunned when Noah saw her. Her husband came back to find out who the guy was and she told him it was Noah. They ended up driving back home and to start over by making another child.

Hey People,

Finally, the cat is out of the bag, but first, let's run through what happened with all the other characters. There may be someone else that is more evil than Margaret. We definitely know for sure he has some rage issues since they (Margaret and Rachael) can feel his hatred from the hospital. Margaret and Rachael had the same vivid dream that turned out not to be a dream at all, but Margaret's memory. This woman doesn't forget a thing. The dream was about a fire at the factory and Margaret saw some men die and one of them has returned. I'm guessing he wants revenge on the Langston's for letting him die. Margaret found out about the evil grandpa when she went on a date (at least, I think it was a date. Let's call it that.) with his grandson. Margaret recognized a photo of him when the grandson took her back to his "cousin's" place. Is that what they call it now?

Rachael had a lot going on with her. She was still sick with the virus and was deciding on whether to take the medicine that no one knew what it was or if it worked. Seems to be working just fine with Marty. When Marty told Tom this, Tom was going to inject her with it, but Maggie came just in time to stop them. Good thing she's forgetful, which now that I think about it is not a trait you want for a doctor. Rachael didn't want to risk her baby because without the baby she has no reason to live and we know what happens to people who don't want to live. Poof! Good thing she's back to normal and doing just fine. Cause I gotta have faith (Song!) Janine would be so proud. I wonder what she keeps in that diary and I wonder when the baby does finally come out, will she just up and steal it and act like the mother or even better, try to kill Rachael. I know I'm thinking too far in advance. But let me just say Rachael and Tom did have a very nice moment together when Tom admitted that Janine is his wife and all but-- then Rachael interrupted him to tell him she knows. Oh, we know too, hopefully Janine never finds out.

Ray fell ill with the virus and he seems to be the only "human" who has. Maybe he died and no one knows about it or maybe he just has the flu. It is that time of year around here. Well I'm glad he has it because it keeps him out of trouble with that cult group of haters against the returned, who are now ruining people's doors with red spray cans. I understand why Carl and Ray are in the group, but just because you had some bad returns show up doesn't mean they're all bad.

Finally, Marty told Maggie he's a returned and I have to say after she got over why he didn't tell her, she took it very well. Everyone has issues is correct and don't worry Maggie we know yours is falling in love with a dead person. The reason Marty didn't want to tell Maggie was because he didn't want her to look at him differently because he actually cares about what she thinks. Why couldn't he just say that?

No Resurrection Tonight

Hey People,

Scratch that people there will be no Resurrection tonight due to Once Upon A Time having a 2-hour event.

So it'll just be The Good Wife and The Affair for me tonight. I'll just save the recap for it for another time since it won't be back until Nov 30th. If you're like me, you won't remember a thing once that date comes around.

Hey People,

S2 E6
Quite a bit happened last episode so let's hop to it. Marty is sick with some type of mutated Spanish Flu, but they have a suppressor of a drug just not a lot of it to last for the whole neighborhood. Marty also finds out that this wasn't the first time that he died. He has died before with his family back in the day. Sad thing is his parents vanished 3 days earlier and only his sister is left. Because he's still sick, he didn't take her with him, but he promised to return for her, even though she has no idea who Marty is to her.

The other big story was the aftermath of Barbara vanishing. Man was Maggie brokenhearted about the situation. It was really sad because that's probably exactly how I would react. Margaret going around bulling people wasn't helping my emotions. I'm glad Fred was able to see through her b*llsh*t. I'm also glad he didn't resort back to the bottle. Even Lucille is starting to notice how Margaret is a bad influence on Jacob.

Henry is planning his start up for the factory and it seems like an evil returned grandfather and a grandson are going to be up to no good.

I just want to add that I hated the whiteboard in Angela's office. She's supposed to be all mathy and yet she needs the pi circle. How do you not know that by heart? I'm a math major, I should know. I'm also a little bit upset that they ruined the surprise of Marty finding out by showing it in the promos. I guess they really want to get people to watch.

I'm just waiting for the moment when Marty tells Maggie the truth. This show may not get a 3rd season so at least give me that.

S1 E4
Okay so this episode was a little bit different from the rest, which is why you just getting a regular recap this time since there really was no he said, she said, but instead, part 1 and part 2.

Part 1

Noah and Alison spend the whole day together on an island. We learn that Noah has only slept with 3 women in his life (now 4), his mother died when he was in high school, and he finished the 1st chapter of his book (and it was good). Alison has a mother with Alzheimer and her mother is a drifter. But things get out of control when Noah gets a call from his wife. They go their separate ways, but somehow they end up at a shop they started out in. Next destination, the bedroom.

Part 2

After the bedroom scene, they head to the beach to which they just end up going back to the B&B, for a 2nd round. During this round, Noah finds scars on her thigh, which ends the mood immediately for Alison. Noah doesn't know what he did wrong. In his fury, he kicks the piece of furniture and puts a dent in it. Luckily for him, the maid left the door into another room open. They become Bonnie and Clyde and switch furniture all to escape the payment of a broken one. Eventually, Alison breaks down and tells Noah why she cuts herself--her son, Gabriel, drowned. Alison thinks Noah only sees a broken women now, but Noah knows what he wants and he wants Alison. Commence the 3rd round, which ended with Alison's orgasmic sounds.

I actually liked how the show only focused on these 2 characters, especially since this was their first time together, but damn did they really have to do it in Alison's bed? As for the inconsistency of the night, Alison is most likely the one who got it right with the whole voice in the wind. I mean, she should be the one that gets it right since she's the one who's telling the story to Noah in both versions.

The detective is lying now too. Is he married or not? Does anyone tell the truth on this show?

Hey People,

Okay so 2 people up and vanished last time. One I was very happy to see go and another, which I felt was too soon. Let's dive in.

Bellamy was trying to find out what happened at the factory, but hit a road block with Margaret even though she kind of did give him the answer.

Lucille felt guilty over what she did at the dinner the other day to Barbara, but Margaret was right there to tell her she did the right thing.

Barbara felt lonely because her fling 30 years ago has now lost its spark. Elaine comes to the rescue and comforts her. All she needed was a friend. I want to see more of her. Ever since her father disappeared, we haven't seen much of her, other than that awkward moment with Fred and her at the beginning of the season. Anyway, Elaine calls Maggie over to get to know her mother and she really break it down for Maggie when she reminds her that her mother is younger than them. All she wants is a friend.

In her drunk state of mind (I'm hoping she didn't drive because she was drunk and most likely she hasn't renewed her license yet), Barbara shows up on Fred's doorstep and one thing leads to another. Next thing you know, Barbara and Fred are opening the door that Margaret is standing behind. Well, good morning to you too. After that you knew Margaret was planning to get rid of her since she is the only one that knows how to get rid of a returned.

Margaret walks onto the porch acting all nice towards Barbara while Fred isn't home and then she takes her to the park to have a little chat. The chat turned into a full on attack about how everyone was fine before Barbara returned and that they don't need her. Elaine sees Margaret and Barbara talking and then all of a sudden it was just Margaret there. Elaine tells Maggie that her mother vanished and Maggie breaks down over how her mother left her again, but this time she actually knew her and saw how happy she made her dad. When she went to find Marty for comfort he wasn't there. Man has his own issues to deal with. He now has become sick and he still hasn't told Maggie he's a returned so he can't go to her for help. Instead, he thinks it's a good idea to drive and then curl up into a little ball.

Margaret is obviously a meddler and needs to be stopped.

Meanwhile, over at the Hale's house, Rachael fell ill, but then started to get better towards the end and Carl's *ssh*le of a brother also got sick, but Carl decided not to help him and as a result Carl's brother wished he never returned, and therefore, vanishes. I thought Carl was cold mother-shut-your-mouth brother, but at the same time, I understand why he did it.

Hey People,

Correction: I got it wrong last time, the bones weren't from just 1 person, but of 2 people that returned again and again.

I'm not gonna lie. This show had me tearing up when Jacob apologized to Barbara, I don't know why, but it totally got to me. Anyway, let's get into it.

Marty was kind of MIA for this episode and Elaine was totally MIA, but anyway Marty was researching the whole time on the bones they found in the river and trying to identify who they were.

Oct 28, 1982 was when Jacob died and Margaret takes it upon herself to change the tradition of Henry and Lucille's mourning into a day of celebration with family. She was talking about a specific people though aka not Barbara. All the Langstons that we've seen so far were under the same roof and man did that dinner not end so great.

Henry invited Barbara because Jacob wanted her there and Margaret invited Fred because that's her son and family is family to her except Barbara who Margaret sees as the devil. Henry forgives Fred because he's his brother and Margaret puts the idea into Lucille's head that Fred isn't to blame, but Barbara, who is the root of all evil. If it wasn't for Barbara having the affair, which lead her to meet her lover at the river and then slipping in said river and Jacob trying to save her, Jacob would be married with kids by now. Lucille feels she was robbed a better future by Barbara. Like I said, this dinner didn't end well.

Meanwhile over at the Hale house, Rachael finds out her baby is growing twice as fast, but the Hales decide for her to stay and they'll help anyway they can. Was I the only one thinking Tom is lucky to have 2 amazing girls by his side?

Fred finds out Margaret lied about not knowing who the last returned was and we find out that Margaret knows how to kill a returned because she helped kill those 2 people buried at the factory. If not by hanging, shooting, or fire then how? But one thing is for sure, we know who her first victim will be. That's a cool way to tell a story, but knowing what she was referring to creeped me out.

The returned are getting sick. Will Maggie find out Marty is a returned when he falls ill? Will he fall ill? We'll find out tonight.

Hey People,

Welcome new member to the Sunday Lineup.

So a bunch of dead bodies show up in the river while the ex-pastor was performing baptisms. Well that's one way to be renewed. The 8 bodies that they found were all from the same dude. So The Returning Syndrome is not something new. It's happened before and for some reason granny new about those bones before chucking them into the river and carrying them south. The thing is her son is onto her.

Marty sees his dead body after making a deal with the she-devil to give over the 8 dead bodies found in the river. What's her deal? We still don't know. Maybe she's a necro. You never know.

Jacob finally goes to school to be with people his own age and Henry decides to start up the factory again.

Now let's talk about the cop guy, who wasn't getting any sleep--Carl. Man, do I feel bad for him. When he finally had enough and shot his brother multiple times, I was saying good for you in the back of my mind (I know really bad of me, but you have to understand his brother...there are just some people...okay there is no legit reason to kill someone, but this is a TV show so just let me have this one). His brother really needed to die, but sadly because of TRS he just came back, b*tching more than ever since his chair had blood all over it. TRS is not for everyone folks. Some people just need to stay dead.

Hey People.

Okay So I was a bit confused on when Bellamy died, but last week's episode really cleared that up for me. Man was shot and Jacob knew the whole time. Damn Jacob speak up about it. This isn't The Sixth Sense.

Jacob is curious about death. Margaret is a bit scary in this episode (almost thought she was going to hit Henry), but all she's looking for is familiarity and apparently dead bodies. Still don't know how she knew they were there.

Pastor Tom is having some difficulty handling his feelings. Really feel bad for him and glad I'm not in his shoes. But I do have to say, it did seem like he was making love to someone else. I wonder what would have happened if it was Rachael. Actually, I'm pretty sure at first he thought it was Rachael. It doesn't help that I think both of the actresses look alike. Like seriously in another show, they could play as sisters. Let me just add love the face Rachael had when she saw Janine back in the house.

Finally, another returned...well...returned, but then disappeared. Still have no idea why, but maybe we'll find out more tonight.

Okay I know I said I would quit writing about this show, but I watched it because I was waiting for The Good Wife to start and I have to say that last episode was horrible. Really, Madam Secretary writers?

I found this article that pretty much summed up my feelings about that episode.

I made the right decision in not adding Madam Secretary to my list of shows that's all I have to say.

Sunday Recap

Hey People,

Another one bites the dust.

So I guess this poster is right. He really is dead. So now what? He has to report to some woman he just met? And I thought she was supposed to answer his questions.

The Sheriff is still a drunk, but I totally saw him hitting on Elaine coming. However, I did not predict his mother slapping him out of his state. It's so great to see Michelle Fairley back on TV again. Last time I saw her, her throat was being cut open--red wedding.

So what happened to Bellamy in his lost week? Did they probe and test him? And where are the others and what are they doing to them?

Maybe we'll get more answers from that weirdo woman.

I'm pulling the cord on this show. Why? Well because it's too political. I actually don't mind watching politics, but I don't really want to be reminded when I watch my shows. Yes you could argue that The Good Wife is political too, but it is also more personal and I would say it's way more personal than political. I can't say the same thing about Madam Secretary.

TGW didn't start out that great either it was a procedural as well, but nowadays I just don't have time to nurse a show. It'll still probably play throughout the house since my parents watch, but I won't be. At least I will know if it gets good or not.

Quick summary of last episode: they stopped a Benghazi from happening and got their man out before he was killed and at home her college daughter came home because of pressure from school.

The only thing I liked about this show is the "accident" and that's just not enough for me to stay.

Sunday Recap

Hey People,

Here's your 2nd chance Madam Secretary and I wonder will happen to Cary on The Good Wife. Here's to the new show in the group Resurrection that premieres tonight.

Okay maybe I do have bad memory because I totally forgot about this show and it's a really good show. I binged through it in the summer and thought it was pretty decent. Not many shows survive a series premiere in the spring.

As I recall, a bunch of people come out of nowhere who have resurrected from the dead and the military started to round them. We also found out Bellamy is the same boy a returned family was looking for. Does this mean he died with them or is he the only one that survived? Apparently, this poster on the left is stating the former rather than the latter, but maybe it's supposed to be misleading.

Anyway, we'll see what will happen in this show tonight. I'm glad I get the chance to watch it live this time. Well, at least during the same week as it airs (The Good Wife shares the same time slot).
